look out- it's wednesday!

so today is wednesday- let the madness begin. let me give you a quick look at the long sprint this day brings each week. never a dull moment.

so its around 9ish here in the mountains and i am watching the snow fall like dandruff, like it has for days. so that cumulatively gives us a whole inch... pray harder people :) but by this time every morning i have usually had breakfast. i pound some vitamins to round out my oatmeal. i would be sipping coffee and somewhere in the middle of my 15 chapters of the bible per day. that's right- my church is reading through the entire bible in 90 days, so each morning bout an hour is devoted to that. after that i have a coffee with one of the small group leaders here in the county. we discuss the needs of the small group, and how the drop in can help it succeed and be intentional.

that ends in enough time for me to get to the high school for lunch. one of the highlights of my week! there are three lunches there, so a few of us from the church are allowed to come and join the kids once a week. you would not believe how God has blessed this. kids are allowing us into their lives, problems; they are introducing us to their friends... the kids, as well as the team look forward to this each week (i got scolded by several teens for missing a week). i pound some advil for the back.

straight from there i grab a quick lunch for myself (round 2), and get back to the house to prepare for wed night youth fellowship. i polish up on the songs i have been practicing that week so they will be ready for leading worship in a few hours. i gather my things and say a quick prayer. i pound an Emergen-C for the minor cough. i get to the church in enough time to overlap with my mentor for a bit before he has to leave. kids show up at 5 for fellowship. i lead a quick band rehearsal (with the boys from my small group) to make sure we are all on the same page. we pray for the evening. we finish quick so the boys can take a few passes on the churches skate equipment (except for ryan- he is in a wheelchair with two broken legs) before we start leading the group in worship. ryan practices wheelies in his wheelchair. i pound a hot tea for the vocal chords. youth group runs till 830-9ish depending on how long all the kids want to skate, 4 square, guitar hero, and socialize. sometimes if we have the energy, the leaders will meet after (till like 1030).

after i finally get home, i might shovel the inch of snowdust from the drive. i catch up with the roommates for a min while i pound a hot tea for sleepy time. i pray and thank the Lord for the awesome day, making sure to ask for snow. i sleep- hard.

God bless your wednesday
